These were the standard for training MMA safely. They provide more padding so you can hit harder. The big problem with these gloves is that they have finger loops. Every time I use them (and my students) a finger slips out.
The leather is a good quality and they should last a long time. I would not hit pads/bag with them as it will flatten the padding. (unless you don’t like your training partners). If you want the best glove for training check out the extreme safety glove. TG11

Well this one is a long time coming; the good news is that patience has paid off. This is probably my most indebt review especially with long-term use. Joe at Combat Sports International was awesome and showed some of the best customer service that us Sherdoggers have come to expect. Shipping and everything was no hassle at all on my part, showing that they really went the extra mile. Now onto the good stuff.

The gloves are designed for MMA sparing, both stand up and ground game. I did not have as much trouble trying to grapple with these things as I thought I would. A rear naked choke is the only move that I had a “fun” time trying to sink in with the large contact pads. For stand-up they are great, both for sparing and bag work. I would not recommend going all out in the stand-up unless your partner has headgear, but the gloves provide awesome support and give for those on the receiving end of them. But what I was really excited was the way they work for heavy bag work. My knuckles have never felt better after a lot of bag work, without hand wraps too (I have since tried them with hand wraps and found them just as comfortable). My knuckles were sore but no swelling and definitely no cuts or bruises; I’m not sure if there is a gel pad underneath or what but these things hit like a boxing glove. They are definitely as advertised, a great MMA glove.

The construction is very good; I don’t seeing these having problems any time soon. The leather softened up rather quick and is now super comfortable. The finger loops at first were not comfortable but that leather has also softened and now they really hug my fingers and give great comfort and support. The gloves have really broken into my hand instead of my hand just getting used to them. The sticking is good and plentiful; there is no spot that I found that could have used any more needlework. Probably the coolest part is the triple Velcro system that secures the glove, I have not needed to tape these during sparing sessions, even with lots of grappling.

If you guys have any questions just let me know and I’ll try my best to answer them or show more pics of things I have not posted.
