The forty thieves shorts isn’t anything special. With no drawstring, it’s difficult to order your fitting size. Though, some people like shorts without drawstring, I prefer having secure, and fitting shorts.

The shorts feel like plastic with a bit of softness. The shorts I have are black with white lining throughout the side split seam. The shorts have neoprene lining inside which is meant to soak up the sweat. I don’t think it does much, but I guess it does the job? The neoprene lining feels like swimsuit material.

I still need to gain a few more pounds before these could fit me which is pretty motivating because I want to gain weight. Though, these fit me, but they’re just a bit loose.

These shorts are verrry durable, no problems at all with these. No loose threads , or rips..no NOTHING! Also, you should be able to afford these shorts, and I would strongly recommend the newer shorts to anyone interested in purchasing forty thieves shorts. With the added drawstring, I know the shorts will be good.

I know Binh (The owner) has released special edition 40thieves shorts with drawstring, pocket etc.. I own one of his older version of the shorts.

my personal rating on these shorts would be

3.5/5

I purchased the same shorts in the picture (second edition I think) . Mine did come with a drawstring and instead of a neoprene lining they have Lycra. The shorts are bad ass. The design is great and it does not look like every other grappling short. I’ve had these for at least 6 months and they look like new.

Fyi.. I plan to buy at leat 2 more of these. I like them that much

Simple and solid, my go-to shorts. Nothing revolutionary, but hard to beat. Plus they use a lot of really different fabrics that you don’t see too often in MMA shorts.

My favorite brand of grappling and MMA Shorts for several reasons– short sweet and straight to the point:

Look: Many MMA clothing clothing companies appear to take influence from the motocross culture. Forty Thieves shorts appear to follow the surf culture– they are designed to have a laid back, low key look.

Fit: They tend to run a little bit large in the wait. I wear normally wear a 32, but wear a 30 in Forty Thieves shorts. I think their fit is excellant for grappling.

Durability: Triple stiched– no corners cut to save money. Some brands silk screen or heat press their MMA shorts which will not last more than a few training sessions and washes. Forty Thieves embroiders their shorts.

I just got a pair of Fory Thieves shorts in the mail last week and just wanted to give some feedback on them because I am impressed with them– I feel the quality of shorts for being under $50 is a great dollar for dollar deal. The only variable I have to figure out now is seeing how they hold up over many training sessions. Ill let you all know how they work out in the long run.
