These are probably one of the most inexpensive mitts on the market: I paid about $25 for them on eBay, brand new. The official website, however, currently sells them for about $40.
Despite the low price tag, I wasn’t a big fan of these mitts from the start. First of all, the hard filling and outer shell make them WAY too stiff. There is absolutely no shock absorption when someone hits these mitts, which transfers all the force to your hand. Also, the large shape and heavy weight makes them very clunky and a pain to hold up. There is absolutely no curvature to them, so they don’t really fit your hands too well.
Think of these as big, thick and dense blocks that happen to have hand pockets. I think they were trying to develop their own unique design with these, but they really missed the mark. Spend the extra few bucks to get decent mitts from just about any other company.

The V1 mitts are designed to take a heavy pounding. They provide a big target and the foam is dense but at the same time the mitts are actually very light. The leather feels very hard and stiff maybe even a bit cheap, but after taking so many punches and countless rounds they look pristine. The bad news is they don’t come with a target or sweet spot to aim for, and since they are big its hard for the puncher to aim within the hand and not at the fingers or wrist. I finally had to put a sticker on them so I could get my guys punching in the right spot. The finger hood had extra foam coming out to protect the fingers when working the puncher’s defense or if they throw a bad shot and happen to come straight down on the fingers. The hand compartment feels off and for some reason it felt really awkward to me, it didn’t conform to my hands well and if it wasn’t for the strap and extra thick foam my hands would’ve been beat. There is another issue about the hand compartment which involves air vents, there are none and you hand wraps will be soaked after a good session with them. The mitts are okay but they just didn’t work for me and compared to lineup of KO goods, they just seem so out of place and really the weakest of the whole line.
Pros:
Super thick dense padding
Durable
Surprisingly lightCons:
Material feels different from other line of gear
Hand Compartment feels off
No striking target
Dry’s slowly7 out of 10
