First off let me say that, these shorts are exactly the same as the NOGI OE’s, just reversed colors. With that said, lets get on with the review!

These shorts do a great job of keeping me dry whenever I’m training and they are stretchy. These shorts are true to size, but if you want a looser fit then order a size up.

I’ve noticed that some of the stitching is coming off from the back Logo, just a bit. The velcro is extremely strong and you won’t have to worry about the velcro coming off. The side pocket velcro has a rip on the top of the stitching, but I doubt it will cause much problems. When you’re ripping the velcro open just do it slowly. The pocket can fit my ipod, wallet, watch etc etc which is great for those who like running, or working out. The shorts are also Anti-Swing which means that when you’re running the shorts wont swing like bball shorts. The pocket is also high up top.

All in all, if you want shorts that you can wear inside and outside of training, then these shorts are for you. They look exactly like regular boardshorts and they’re very comfortable.

Just one last word of advice, if you’re going to wear the OE’s to the beach, wear something underneath or even when you’re training because once that shit gets wet…it’s practically see-through. These are my favorite shorts to train in.

That’s all I gotta say about the Echo/OE’s.

I haven’t had these shorts for long, (accually I’ve only had them long enough to wear them to Wrestling/BJJ twice) but so far I’m quite impressed with these shorts. I was a bit hesitant about purchasing a pair of long shorts that are as long as these (21″ length) because I was worried about them swinging and of the movement that usually comes from long shorts. I usually stick with Brazilian brand shorts because they’re a bit smaller than other shorts. But after purchasing I was happy I did.

The first thing I noticed was the material of the shorts. The closest thing I could compare it to would be the material women’s stretch pants are made out of. The velcro closure system is also very unique, instead of the flap being on the left hand side of the short (as if you’re wearing them) it’s on the right and only about an inch big. It’s hard to describe, but nothing to really worry about. The shorts come with a drawtring, but the sizing on the shorts is pretty close to perfect that you don’t really need it. The shorts are not baggy at all nor are they constrictive, overall they were really comfortable.

While training, I wore them under my gi and I didn’t feel notice them at all which was a plus. They are very flexable that they do not inhibit any kind of movement nor did they sway or slip down my legs while grappling. Great pair of grappling or MMA shorts.

The only problem was the pocket on the right side of the shorts. I’m not a big fan of grappling shorts with pockets, but the velcro on the pocket is so tough that it ripped one of the velcro strips off the side of the pocket even when I opened it slowly. So I don’t think I’ll be using that pocket too much. An overall great pair of shorts for a great price.
