Editor Review:

Smashing success for the TUF season finale, which was highlighted by matchups by both the Ultimate Fighter finalists and their coaches, BJ Penn and Jens Pulver. This alone was good enough to warrant a 5-star fight card.

The televised fights for the entire night were distinguished by constant action and great finishes, with the exception of an injury stoppage with Gamburyan and Diaz and the bizarre equivalent of a double-KO between Emerson and Maynard. Both these fights, however, were entertaining all the way up until the stoppages.

Since none of the fights went the distance, most of the fights were able to be televised. And with this event being broadcast for free on cable, the value can’t be beat.
